We served this chili at our 2012 Tailgate Festival...it was a hit!
Cook chicken pieces in hot oil in a skillet over medium high heat until browned, about 4 minutes. Place in a 4 quart crock pot. Add onion and garlic to skillet, sautéing until vegetables are tender. Add broth, stirring to loosen crumbles from bottom of skillet. Add broth mixture to chicken in crock pot. Stir in salsa, corn, cumin, black pepper, and hot sauce, if using. Cover and cook on low for 10 hours. Add beans to chicken mixture. Mash a few beans with a spoon or potato masher until desired consistency is reached. Prefer sweet over heat? Use our Mild Salsa in place of the Zesty Salsa.
