Rhubarb Cherry Pie 2016 Recipe

Ingredients

  • Crust:
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/3 Tbsp. sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vinegar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 c. cold water
  • Filling:
  • 1 c. rhubarb, chopped
  • 1 can cherry pie filling

Instructions

Combine flour, sugar, and salt. Mix and add shortening, working with a fork until mixed. In a separate bowl, beat the egg with a fork, add vinegar, then water and mix. Add the egg mixture to the flour mixture and combine. Roll out for pie crust.

Mix cherry pie filling and 1 cup chopped rhubarb together in a separate bowl, then pour into crust. Cover with lattice top. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
