Fresh Fruit Berry Trifle Recipe

A beautiful and delicious layered dessert for berry season.

  • 3 small boxes instant vanilla pudding
  • 4 1/2 c. milk
  • 16 oz. Cool Whip, divided
  • 8 c. fresh assorted berries, washed, drained well and cut up if needed
  • 1 half pint jar Kitchen Kettle Seedless Red Raspberry or Black Raspberry Jam
  • 12 Snickerdoodle Cookies, broken into bite size chunks
  • For garnish: fresh berries and fresh mint leaves, optional

In a large bowl, mix pudding mix and milk with a wire whisk. Fold in 12 ounces of Cool Whip and set aside. In a microwave proof bowl, warm the jam for 1 minute or until it can be easily stirred, but not totally liquid. Gently fold in the assorted berries and set aside. To assemble: In a large trifle bowl, place half of the snickerdoodle cookie pieces. Place half of the pudding mix on top and then half of the assorted berries and jam. Repeat layers. Top with the remaining Cool Whip and additional fresh berries and mint, if desired.

Get creative with your jam or jelly and fresh fruit flavor combinations.
