Blueberry and Watermelon Salad Recipe


A refreshing summer salad, featuring blueberry preserves.


  • Salad:
  • 4 lbs. seedless watermelon balls
  • 2 1/2 lbs. small fresh mozzarella balls
  • 4 oz. fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 lb. scallions trimmed and chopped
  • 1 1/2 lbs. fresh blueberries
  • 1 lb. toasted almonds
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 lb. baby salad greens
  • Vinaigrette:
  • 4 oz. Olive Basin Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 4 oz. Olive Basin Sicilian Lemon Balsamic Vinegar
  • 6 oz. Kitchen Kettle Blueberry Preserves, melted
  • 2 oz. orange juice
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Make Vinaigrette and set aside to chill for an hour to allow flavors to marinate before using. Prepare watermelon. Toss watermelon, mozzarella balls, fresh basil, scallions, blueberries and toasted almonds. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Place on top of baby salad greens and drizzle with blueberry vinaigrette.
