Apricot Squares Recipe


Dessert squares with a flavorful apricot topping.


  • 1-1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 lb. (1 stick) butter or margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • Topping:
  • 1/4 lb. (1 stick) butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 pint jar Kitchen Kettle Apricot Jam


Mix all ingredients together and spread on the bottom of a lightly greased 9 x 9" pan.

Spread apricot jam over dough in pan. Mix remaining topping ingredients together, form crumbs and sprinkle over jam.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, or until lightly browned. When cool, cut into squares, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.
