Apricot Squares Recipe


Dessert squares with a flavorful apricot topping.


  • Crust:
  • 1 1/4 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 full stick butter or margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • Topping:
  • 1/4 lb. -1 stick- butter or margarine
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 half pint jar Kitchen Kettle Apricot Jam


Mix crust ingredients together and spread on the bottom of a lightly greased 9 x 9" pan.

Spread apricot jam over dough in pan. Mix remaining topping ingredients together, forming crumbs and sprinkle over jam.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, or until lightly browned. When cool, cut into squares. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
