Happy Camper, a new outdoor gear and gift shop at Kitchen Kettle Village, recently opened in the middle of March! The store had a soft opening in March, a legitimate opening April 1st, and will have a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, June 18th, for the Village’s “Splash into Summer” Celebration!
The Happy Camper is located towards the bottom of the village, situated between the two parking lots and right next to the bus parking. People may remember this location as the home of previous sign shops. The new shop now includes the gazebo, which people may remember as a seating location. The store’s gazebo now contains home decor, kitchen utilities, and outdoor necessities. Some products you may find in the gazebo include fire starters, Indonesian made pottery, portable campfires, pop-up coolers, camper themed pillows and towels, and mugs galore!
The main shopping area of the store contains many fun, well known brands, such as Teva shoes, Fjallraven backpacks, and Kavu bags. Although these are great camping products, they are useful for anyone who simply loves to travel, adventure, hike, fish, or just enjoy the outdoors. Happy Camper also carries useful items such as sunscreen, socks, sun hats, and sunglasses. While there’s plenty of products for those who do love to camp, there are products geared toward non-campers as well such as waterproof hammocks and wind chimes.
The store also features T-shirts and baseball hats with many iconic camping quotes and images. You will find shirts that say things such as “Take the Scenic Route”, “Making Memories, one Campsite at a Time”, “Happy Camper”, and more! The adjustable baseball hats feature s’mores, campfires and Happy Camper logos and slogans.
Perhaps you camp, maybe you “glamp” or maybe you just love the outdoors… regardless you are sure to find something for you at Happy Camper! This new Village shop is eye-catching, unique, and fills the need for all of your outdoor gear. Make sure to stop by soon and get ready for summer!
After 23 years at Kitchen Kettle Village, Phil & Stephanie Garnett will be hanging up their pottery wheel and ending their time at the Village. Their shop will remain open though the end of October 2021. In March of 2022, the shop will reopen under new ownership.
