Enjoy a delicious hot breakfast at the Kling House Restaurant. I recommend Baked Oatmeal, it’s homemade with cinnamon, apples, and walnuts served with warm milk and a side of fresh fruit. Baked Oatmeal is filling, delicious, and healthy to keep us on track with 2019 resolutions!
After breakfast, stop by the Roaster Rooster Coffee Company and pick a hot drink to hold as you sip and stroll through the Village stopping in your favorite shops. One of my favorite drinks to warm up with is a hot cup of Tazo Zen tea or a London Fog. The barista’s can help you pick the perfect drink to satisfy your taste buds!
With a hot tea or coffee in hand, it’s time to pick up some new décor to revamp your home. After putting away the holiday decorations, your home can feel a bit empty. Picking up a few new décor pieces from The Country Life is an easy way to refresh your space! I recommend picking up your favorite style of lantern and filling it with a cute succulent or cactus. This lantern and plant combo is an adorable way to spruce up your coffee table, bed side table, or window sill.
Down the brick walkway from The Country Life, it’s time to experience the Olive Basin. With over 40 varieties of premium extra virgin olive oils and balsamic vinegars it’s the perfect time to sample and explore new ways to liven up your salad. If your New Year’s resolution involves taking steps to eat healthier, I recommend switching out your salad dressing for an oil and vinegar combo. One of my favorites is the Tuscan Herb Olive Oil and Traditional Balsamic.
Next, it’s time to update our winter shoe situation at the Deerskin Leather Shop. The only way I can get through winter is with a warm pair of boots for the outdoors, and a pair of toasty slippers to keep me warm indoors. I highly recommend checking out the Deerskin Leather Shop’s selection of UGG boots, which will keep your feet warm like no other! Minnetonka also has high quality slippers with sheepskin lining that wrap your feet in pillowy warmth and comfort. Is there anything better?
When lunch time rolls around, I recommend the Harvest Café for a warm cup of soup. Check out the Soup of the Day, Homemade Chili, or Vegetable Beef Soup available every day! Pair your cup of soup with the Apple Cheddar Salad, or hand cut French fries.
Our second to last stop of the afternoon will be to the Jam & Relish Kitchen. Inside, sample to your heart’s desire with your favorite goodies or new discoveries you’ve never tried. There are plenty of healthy items to take home and share with family or friends! No Sugar Added Apple Butter is a delicious and healthy way to sweeten Greek yogurt with granola for breakfast. I would also suggest the Jam & Relish Kitchen’s line of marinara sauces. There are four amazing flavors: Original, Chunky Garden, Spicy, and Roasted Garlic. One great thing about these marinara sauces is that they’re sweetened with carrots, not sugar! It’s impossible to taste the difference, and it’s such great way to make pasta dishes healthier
Last but not least, time to indulge with new self-care products from The Gift House. Take time to yourself, smelling and choosing your favorite scents of soaps, lotions, and bath bombs. There are plenty of different scents to choose from, and it’s especially important to take care of your skin in the winter months when the air is very dry.
