Well, it stuck and Character Days began 17 years ago and has become an annual judged event. We ask all employees to participate if they want and dress up in a “character” and sell your character to our three “celebrity judges” (willing participants from offsite local properties). When I say sell, I mean dance, sing, read a poem, do a skit, etc. that best represents their character.
We typically have 4 categories to place in:
Most Creative
Best Halloween Themed
Best Group/Couple Costume
Best of Show
We reward the best with cash prizes and everyone gets free refreshments. One of the best parts of the event is all of the laughter as we share in the fun together. The fun continues all day when we see smiles all day on our guests’ faces. Truly priceless. Check out some of our fun characters from past years…
After 23 years at Kitchen Kettle Village, Phil & Stephanie Garnett will be hanging up their pottery wheel and ending their time at the Village. Their shop will remain open though the end of October 2021. In March of 2022, the shop will reopen under new ownership.
