Our History

Kitchen Kettle Village is tucked in the Village of Intercourse, Pennsylvania which is located in Lancaster County’s beautiful Pa Dutch Country. We trace our colorful origins to 1954, when Bob and Pat Burnley purchased a small jelly business and set up operations in their two-car garage. As business grew and tourism became a major factor in the area’s economy, the “garage” slowly transformed into a bustling Jam & Relish Kitchen that also incorporates a Bake Shop. The Village now offers over 40 shops, restaurants and lodging in one outdoor shopping village.

40+ shops, eateries and lodging centered around a world famous canning kitchen. Kitchen Kettle Village has been entertaining visitors from all over the world for more than 65 years. With 30 unique specialty shops, 7 delicious eateries, charming lodging, and of course, the famous Jam and Relish Kitchen, guests can watch local farm women putting up over 90 original recipes of jams, jellies, and relishes in large open kettles, take in the fatmland views, or enjoy the free seasonal Festivals and year-round family events.

Conveniently located on Rte. 340 in the Village of Intercourse, Pennsylvania (10 miles east of Lancaster and less than 2 hours from Philadelphia and Baltimore). Kitchen Kettle Village is the ideal destination for the guest who wants a tasty and authentic Village experience.
