The Kling House Restaurant is the home I grew up in. My father, Victor Kling, brought his bride, Anna High, to this house in 1913. I can still remember the elderberry bushes and sour cherry trees along the driveway. The pecan tree that is still here was planted for my sister Martha. We had blue grapes in the garden and white ones on the porch. And inside, Mother taught me how to can and preserve fruits & vegetables.
