Baked Spaghetti

Tip from our food expert Kristine Grego! Marinara Sauces: Buy twice what you need of any of the sauces. Make twice the amount of Spaghetti Sauce with meat sauce and an extra pound of spaghetti noodles or whatever amount of Baked Spaghetti you are preparing. Make sure you keep the Baked Spaghetti noodles separate from the sauce. Following is a recipe that is quick and easy to make and place in the freezer for later on. You’ll have 2 meals for the work on 1!

  • 1 lb. ground beef, browned and drained of fat
  • 1 lb. cooked and drained spaghetti noodles
  • 1 – 32 oz. KKV Original Marinara Sauce
  • 8 slices American Cheese
  • 1 – 1 ½ cups grated Cheddar Cheese
  • Parmesan Cheese
  • Italian Seasoning

  • In a greased 2 quart casserole, layer half of spaghetti noodles. Sprinkle with Italian seasonings. Lay 4 slices of American cheese on top of this, then half of the Cheddar cheese. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Pour half of the sauce which has been mixed with the hamburger. Repeat, ending with the spaghetti sauce. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top. Bake at 350F for 30 minutes or until bubbly.
  • This freezes very well. Thaw completely before baking. It will take approximately 15 minutes more to heat it thoroughly.
